So Bernie Madoff, king of all ponzi schemes was sentenced to 150 years in prison.
It’s a federal sentence so there is no parole. He will die in prison.
I think what he did was dispicable. I think what he did deserves punishment. I don’t think what he did was worse than raping someone or killing someone [...]

You know the Supreme Leader in Iran is going , “Fuck yeah! Farah and Micheal same day? No more important Iranian Revolution coverage for a month. Eat that Twitter!”

Ok, I am indifferent about the news of Micheal Jackson’s demise. On one hand, he was a genius as an artist and performer, on the other hand he was certifiably insane and quite possibly a child molester.
It’s cool when you are certifiably insane and you have gobs and gobs of cash you are instead called [...]
I Am Genius!

Ok, while I am a genius, I am much better at analyzing what even greater genius has to say on subject and applying it to the real world. Especially when it is from multiple people on the same subject.
We have a few industrial caliber printers where I work. They can be pretty touchy. Of late [...]
Variety

One of the things I love about where I work is the variety of the people.
I’ve got a very wide variety of interests. I’m a hard core science geek. I’m a computer geek. I’m a photography buff. I am a big music enthusiast. I am a voracious reader of multiple genres (although I do have [...]

So, I have discovered, it is very hard to get a crisp picture of the moon unless you know what the hell you are doing.
As you can see by the above image, I don’t know what the hell I am doing.
Still, not too horrible for someone who doesn’t know what the hell he is doing, [...]
Two Story Ideas
Posted in David Watters Daily Post on June 12, 2009 | 4 Comments »
So I’ve been thinking of stories to go with Jason’s picture for the Clarity of Night contet next month.
One is a comedy, the other is the obligatory dark murderous style that tends to dominate his contests.
Unfortunately the comedy one is very cliche and I’m sure will have a multitude of similar entries because the topic [...]
A Discussion on Copyright

Since one of my friends has put a link on my pirate thoughts of last week to an interesting case in Sweden, I thought I’d blog about this topic.
Some full disclosure. I violate copyright on a pretty regular basis. I download the occasional movie, some music and lately a metric fuckload of books on programming.
That [...]

Jason over at Clarity of Night is having another contest. Wohoo!
It’s pretty cool that many of the people who have participated in his contests have gone on to be successful published authors.
Now, it’s a LONG way off this time. I’m not just giving you a day or 2 notice this time you have a sneak [...]
Random Thought

They should make a new top level domain for pirates.
It wold be .arrgh
I would register yescurvydog.arrgh in a heartbeat.
My main webserver instead of being called www would be called avast.
So my fully qualified domain name would be avast.yescurvydog.arrgh
Such is the random crap that flows through my mind on a Tuesday.
That is all.
