Allergies Suck

There is a particular flower in that blooms now and for the next few weeks by our mailboxes that I am dreadfully allergic to.
Unfortunately I think they bloom close to where I work too because my allergy symptoms are not leaving me at work either.
Keeping the windows closed at night in the apartment has helped to a large degree but it gets insanely dry in the apartment if we don’t open the windows at night.
We bought a humidifier for the bedroom but I have to remember to fill it all the time and as I am really old now, the first thing to go was the memory right?
Maybe what’s her face that I live with will remind me to do something or other tonight.
What the hell was I talking about?
Oh yeah, kids today.. no damn respect and that’s all I have to say about that.

Once you hit forty you got to break out the walker and the depends. Seriously. I would see if any there is any herbicide around to nuke the weeds. Or conversely you can go digging them up. But that options is a giant pain.
@Paul
They aren’t weeds, they are there for intended decorative purposes.
Dave if the plants make you sick then they are “weeds” that need to “accidentally” drown in a pool of herbicide.
I never remember to put water in my humidifier either. I did put allergen filters in all my vents and that has seemed to help.
@Paul
I may be convinced to come around to your way of thinking
@crazedreamer
The apartment we are in is good about changing our filters more often because we are both asthmatic.
Tell me about it! As you know from growing up, I used to get allergy shots. I think I was the only kid that I know that actually liked getting shots (weird, huh) because the receptionist would let me play with the stamper, stamp pad and pad of paper and when I went to get my shot, the doctor would give me a plastic needle that I could fill up and squirt water out of…boy those were the days! These days I suffer right along with everyone else. I have some new allergies, got rid of some old allergies, and have become highly allergic to stuff I was already allergic too. Damn, and I like peanuts too (at least I don’t go into anaphalectic-probably spelt wrong-shock, just a lot of pain). So I really feel for you Dave, just hang in there. Maybe your allergy season will soon be over. Unfortunately, I suffer them year round.
