“I need to convert this Word document into a PDF that the sales reps can fill out electronically and fax or e-mail it back in.”
“So import it in to Acrobat Professional, make sure you restrict the users to the desired fields and save it.”
“It won’t import.”
“So create a new document from scratch.”

“C’mon Roy, let’s see how far she goes before we decide what to do.”
Randy smiled to himself feeling silly about talking to his horse. Long trips like this tended to make you want to break the silence though.
The smile faded quickly from his face. This fence went on for miles on end. He couldn’t afford [...]

Tomorrow I’ll put up my entry for The Clarity of Night’s 8th Short fiction contest.
Last time I entered I jumped the gun and posted my own entry here before it was even up on Jason’s site and that’s bad form.
Today in the comments you may discuss why you feel clothes should be legally required. Let [...]

So while I was playing my video game last night with my wife and slacking off my duties to respond to a few of the comments I said I was going to in the Riding The Wave post, I was formulating my reply in my head.
I’m good at multi tasking like that.
One of the points [...]

Well, yesterday’s post generated a lot of interest and good discussion.
So just in case people who came in from other sources decide to come back today to see what the hell I usually post, I’ll be honest it’s usually mundane daily life stuff with an attempt at being humorous on occasion.
Every once in a while [...]

Today is going to be a serious topic day.
I would love as many comments as I can get on this one because I really am curious about your opinions.

So, I’ve mentioned I am taking a programming course online for C++.
I’ve been trying to go at the course recommended 1 week per chapter, but last week was fairly busy at work and I fell behind a little bit.
I took the chapter 4 and the midterm exams yesterday. The exam just on chapter 4 (Pointers [...]

That’s right, I’m taking back the holiday.
No more will I be held captive to the Valentine’s florist cartel.
Now where the hell did I put my goatskin and wolf mask?
And where did I put my credit card? I have to go get a wolf worshiper bouquet for the wife. Seriously what asshole doesn’t get his [...]
Not The Best Use Of Valuable Time

So, we’re occupying a foreign country.
We’re entering a recession to the point where they are going to give every living taxpaying American 3-600 dollars to try and jump start it.
The government has been illegally tapping the phones of average Americans for the last 7 years and has today come one step closer to [...]
It’s The Dolphins

I’ve discovered a horrible truth.
Man is not behind the recent alarming rates of global warming.
It’s the dolphins. The sneaky fuckers.
Think about it. Whenever you are looking at a crime the way to solve the crime is to see who benefits most from it. A follow the money scenario as it were.
Seaside attractions, fish processing plants, [...]
Another Fun Dream

I dream that I wake up in this really cool club in Hollywood.
I’m at a low table surrounded by cushions and pillows, there are 4 women at the table all drop dead gorgeous and 3 teens, 2 boys and a girl. A server catches my eye and asks me if I want some breakfast.
I [...]
