Paranoia has reached a wonderful new extreme.
A group of students in Kentwood Michigan put together a bunch of letters to the troops in Iraq. Unfortunately the package was rejected and returned to sender. (insufficient postage?)
Now the teacher claims to detected a vibration in the package and authorities were called in and the school evacuated. I suspect myself that the word “Iraq” was seen somewhere on the package and the teacher overreacted, but hey, that’s just my humble opinion.
Once the package was recognized by the person that originally sent it, things got back to normal.
I can’t imagine what would have happened if it had gotten rejected while it was in Iraq and possibly gotten some Arabic writing on it. Call the national guard!

JUst another example of how Bush and company are destroying freedom everywhere. Of course the rabid anti war protesters probably saw Iraq and presumed the ghost of Sadam had to be behind the package. Common sense has been rplaced by hysteria.
@Paul
Ok man you’re over the edge at this point. I personally hate Bush and his administration, but I don’t think I’d go as far as blaming him for every paranoid delusional idiot.
We should put a vibrator in a box, write “from Usama with love”, and mail it to that teacher.
True Bush hasn’t created every delusional idiot. But those that hate him hate anything he has touched. So if a teacher who belongs to the anti-Bush crowd sees a package with Iraq on it might think it is some sort of bomb. I think Bush has done more harm and has created an environment that maybe delusional is not that bad. After all Bush has delusions that he can do some good in the world.
Killer and I think alike. Sigh. I would LOVE to get a box that was vibrating.
@Paul
Shhh the idiot is trying to get me a tax refund. Bash him when he’s done.
@Liz
Ok, but when you mail order it make sure they parcel the batteries separately or things mike get blown up. Wait.. blown up.. .that’s Killer’s package.
